Step Ups.php
Step ups are one of the few exercises on this website that require a tiny bit of equipment. You can use a solid box, a chair, the second or third step of a staircase or anything else that is about knee height and will support your full body weight.
Start by standing in front of the box. Step on top of it with you left foot and raise your right knee to about hip level. Now get back down and repeat. You can choose to do a number of repetitions on one side and then switch to the other, or you can alternate sides as you go - your choice.
Step ups: variation
A varation is to step on top of the box with one foot, followed by the other, and then get back down in the same order. In other words: if your left foot was the first foot on the box, it's going to be the first one off of it as well.
